Individuals with Disabilities
  • 1 in 4 people have a disability (27%)
  • 61 million adults have a disability
  • 1 in 5 undergraduate college students reported having a disability in 2015-2016
  • Just 37% of students report their disability to their college
  • 15-43% of students who report their disability DO NOT receive accommodations from their school
  • In 2022, 15% of college students reported having ADD or ADHD
  • Graduation rates for students with disabilities at 4 year colleges is 49.5%, compared to roughly 68% for students without disabilities
  • Graduation rates for students with disabilities at high schools for the 2020 was 70.6%

  • Only 34% of people with autism report feeling well-supported at work.
  • 85% of adults with Autism are unemployed
  • 1 in 10 people have Autism
  • Studies suggest that up to 40% of adults with autism experience employment discrimination.
  • Individuals with Autism tend to have shorter job length than their typically developing counterparts
  • Only 16% of adults with autism have ever worked full-time for a year or more
